Plumbing Emergency?

While you're waiting for emergency service to arrive:

• Shut off your water -- If you have a major leak, it's safest to shut off the main water valve (or an isolating valve)
• Don't use chemicals -- Chemical drain cleaners may seem like a good idea, but they can damage your pipes and are caustic to your family and our plumber
• Assess the damage -- The more you can describe what's going on, the better equipped the plumber will be with supplies before heading to help you
• Don't wait to call a pro -- Pushing off emergency services might lead to more extensive damages which result in extra costs
